My goal with this shader is to achieve a look that is reminiscent of Jean Giraud’s (Moebius) comic style. Games such as Sable or Borderlands come close but I am after something that rather looks shaded with crosshatches and line weights that are carefully chosen for the distance from the camera. This is a shader that is a work very early in progress and below are my first attempts. Both are achieved through the Unreal Engine 5 material editor.
